Jupiter's Moon by Kornél Mundruczó received its eighth prize in the fall festival circuit. During the weekend the film received the Best Feature, Best Special Effects and Time Machine Awards at Sitges Film Festival.
As we can read in Sitges' summary, "The Hungarian Kornél Mundruczó who has always intelligently introduced the fantastic element in his movies, walked away with the award for Best Feature Length Film for Jupiter’s Moon, a fantastic fable that boasts a stunning production design. Jupiter’s Moon also picked up the award for Best Visual Effects. [...] Jupiter’s Moon dazzled audiences and its director Kornél Mundruczó – author of the extraordinary White God – brought complicity to Sitges and demanded social awareness for one of the great dramas of our times: immigration."
The film will be running in key territories next month. Pyramide will kick off the theatrical run on November, 11th in France and NFP in Germany later in April 2018. In between dates are already set in Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Portugal, Poland and Austria.
Further territories which are setting their dates are UK/Eire, Italy, Greece, Romania, Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Turkey, Former Yugoslavia, South Korea, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Brazil.
